Credit cards for sale from Book2Park

Following OneStopParking and Park 'N Fly, hackers have breached the IT systems of airport parking operator Book2Park.com and stolen credit card , which is being sold on underground forums.

Financial institutions noticed the new batch of cards available on the cybercriminal market and bought some of them to find the common ground they had been used in. The common denominator of this scam turned out to be Book2Park.com, an online service that offers parking spaces at airports and ports in the United States. This is, most of the time, a clear indication of the hackers' target.

Ana Infante, the business owner, contacted security blogger Brian Krebs about the breach and said the company was not aware that customers' credit cards were for sale on underground forums.

However, he informed that malware had been discovered on the company's server, and measures were immediately taken to clean the system.

According to Krebs, the mass theft of cards stolen from Book2Park is advertised as “Denarius” and claims to be selling for between $12 / €10.60 and $18 / €16 per card, prices higher than those stolen from OneStopParking and Park 'N Fly, due to them being issued by banks in Europe.

At this time, it is unclear whether customers who fell victim to this fraud can be found and warned about their credit cards so they can take the necessary steps to protect themselves.
