US users of the social network will soon receive notifications about children in their vicinity.
For this purpose, Facebook executives are collaborating with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and creating a very useful service, which will send notifications to users' mobile phones if they are in areas where children have gone missing.
As reported by Facebook employees, members of the social network are already using it voluntarily for this purpose and several missing children have been found by their families, based on the information that was disseminated via Facebook.
