Dashlane Password Changer changes passwords whenever you want

Dashlane Password Changer

A new product from Dashlane could help you a lot in changing passwords on your sites, which is especially handy in the event of a security breach. It's Dashlane Password Changer.

Available today, Dashlane Password Changer works by displaying a list of your passwords. You select the websites whose passwords you want to change, and the software is designed to automatically change the passwords to new, stronger ones.

Cyberattacks seem to have become a daily occurrence, often leaving a user's login credentials exposed. Those who use the same password on all or most of the sites they visit are at great risk. This is especially true in the case of a security threat like Heartbleed, which affected many websites. Users then had to go to each website they had an account on and change their passwords.

Dashlane Password Changer aims to automatically change any password you choose if it thinks your login details have been compromised. It sounds like a good idea. Although it's still in beta, it seems to be aiming to take a big chunk of the market and is reportedly going to add more features.

Currently, Dashlane Password Changer supports about 70 of the top U.S. websites, including Amazon, Dropbox, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, PayPal, and Twitter. But Dashlane promises that it will soon support more websites worldwide. The initial version of Password Changer is for PC and Mac only, but the company says that we will see mobile versions very soon.

8,000 users have already signed up for the service and it is free for one device, while it costs $40 per year to sync between all your devices.
