A few months ago, Google Stars , a Google project that aims to organize the user's bookmarks , made its appearance .
Finally, Google released a Chrome extension, called Chrome Bookmark Manager, as long as Chrome 38 or newer is installed.
First of all, if you install the extension, your old bookmarks will be replaced and will not work in parallel.
With Google's "new bookmarks", the user will be able to save them in an environment reminiscent of Google Drive, while there will be options for archiving in folders (surprisingly, not labels) and sharing with other users via email, Google+, etc.
Google is trying to change the way bookmarks are stored and managed, without offering anything particularly innovative, but it is within the framework of the Material Design.
