Apple releases Bash update to address ShellShock vulnerability

In recent days we have seen the critical security bug in the Bash shell (ShellShock) affecting Unix, Linux and even Mac computers.

Apple number of Mac users running advanced Unix services are actually affected by the shell shock. The rest are not at risk from this bug.

Apple says they are working quickly to release an update to resolve the issue.

As promised, it has released the OS X bash update for OS X Lion, Mountain Lion, and Mavericks.
