Statistical data that highlight the behavior and preferences of thousands of patients were collected by doctoranytime.gr, the service that offers any user the ability to schedule appointments with doctors and diagnostic centers in our country online or by phone. The data were gathered on the occasion of the 2 years of operation of doctoranytime.gr and come from a statistical sample of 2,500 doctors, 50 diagnostic centers, and 17,000 appointments in private clinics.
From this, it appears that Greeks are familiar with technology and the internet, given that online appointments with doctors and diagnostic centers have significantly surpassed telephone appointments (79% and 21% respectively).
Furthermore, private insurance comes first compared to the National Health System (52.12% and 47.87% respectively), and blood analyses and CT scans are the most common diagnostic tests performed by Greeks in 50 diagnostic centers in Athens and Thessaloniki.
