Google appears to be redesigning Glass to make the wearable computer less sophisticated and more like simple glasses.
With the company's computerized glasses, users can take photos and videos, view maps and weather reports, and read news through a transparent, tiny screen that sits above the user's right eye.
This screen, as useful as it is, is noticeable to the wearer. Some users have complained that Glass looks stupid, while some businesses, including a coffee shop and a casino, have banned its use on their premises over fears that users could secretly record others.
