Apple's 20th anniversary iPhone lineup could feature slightly larger displays than the iPhone 18 Pro, if a new leak shared on Weibo is accurate. Noted Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station claims that early iPhone 20 Pro include a 6.41-inch display with a resolution of around 2,686 × 1,236 pixels, while the iPhone 20 Pro Max is said to have a 6.96-inch display with a resolution of around 2,912 × 1,340 pixels.

For comparison, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max have 6.27-inch (rounded to 6.3 inches) and 6.86-inch (rounded to 6.9 inches) displays, respectively. These sizes are measured as a standard rectangle, while the actual viewable area is smaller due to the rounded corners of the devices.
Meanwhile, the resolutions of the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are 2,622 x 1,206 pixels and 2,868 x 1,320 pixels, respectively. The increases in resolution closely follow the rumored increases in physical screen size, suggesting that Apple is likely planning to keep around the same 460 ppi pixel density as the iPhone 18 Pro models. Digital Chat Station previously suggested that the 6.96-inch display on the iPhone 20 Pro Max will likely be advertised as a 7-inch panel if it makes it to production.
Apple last increased the size of its premium iPhone displays with the iPhone 16 Pro series in 2024. The iPhone 16 Pro grew from 6.1 to 6.3 inches, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max grew from 6.7 to 6.9 inches, thanks to thinner bezels and slightly larger chassis dimensions. Leaked dimensions for the iPhone 20 Pro models suggest only a modest increase in overall screen size, but there may be a good reason for that.
Echoing previous claims, the leaker says Apple is testing a “quad-curve bezel-less” display design, with the screen curving to all sides.

We've already seen plenty of reports suggesting that Apple's 20th anniversary iPhone could look like a single, seamless slab of glass with the metal bezels largely hidden during normal use. Bloomberg reported in June that Apple had begun ramping up work on two sizes of the 20th anniversary iPhone. Apple is also rumored to be developing thinner and brighter OLED panels for the devices, along with under-display Face ID and possibly an under-display front-facing camera.
However, Digital Chat Station says that Apple is now testing a smaller Dynamic Island for the iPhone 20 Pro models that sounds similar to the new iPhone 18 Pro models, suggesting that Apple may still be testing multiple approaches. The photo/video quality and concealment issues with the under-display FaceTime camera on the iPhone Duo offer a timely example of the kind of challenge Apple likely faces in its quest to create a seamless display design.
Unless it can improve the implementation, a notch for the front camera may be the compromise Apple has to make for the iPhone 20 Pro models. iPhone 20 Pro rumors point to ten major changes.

It is expected that Apple will skip an iPhone 19 series like it did with the iPhone 9 when it jumped from the iPhone 8 to the iPhone X in 2017. The iPhone 20 Pro and iPhone 20 Pro Max are expected to be released in September 2027, following the release of the regular iPhone 18 earlier that year.
