More than four million dollars were raised through a Kickstarterto fund the construction of a new and improved cooler, called the “Coolest”.
The project immediately found ardent supporters, raising $50,000 on the very first day, an amount that increased 80-fold in less than a week!
The Coolest is a regular portable cooler, which has additional features: a built-in blender for making your cocktails, Bluetooth for listening to music, a USB charger, LED lights, and a bottle opener.
“To this day, there is only one ‘Coolest’ in the world,” founder Ryan Grepper said on the Kickstarter page. “He lives in my garage and has a full social schedule. We hang out in the garage all fall and chill at the beach all summer.”
The cooler will be available in six colors, all with alcohol-inspired names—like “Sangria” and “Blue Curacao.”
The first refrigerator for sale is expected to be ready in February 2016.
