If you love "multi-story" donuts (cronuts) and even write about it on Twitter, then you probably belong to only 1% of the population, according to a recent study, which reveals the most talked-about foods on social media.
Microsoft, with its Social Listening tool, observes Facebook, Twitter, and blogs (websites with a url) to determine what is trending on the internet.
By searching for keywords ranging from positive words like "delicious" or "wonderful" to negative words like "disgusting" or "overpriced," Microsoft was able to present the most popular foods that are most discussed by social media users.
The research focused on publications from June 1, 2014, to the 30th of the same month and yielded surprising results:
Specifically, the most talked about and beloved food is Ramen noodle soup, while wild kale comes second on the list.
Also, the third most talked about food among internet users, but which did not receive such positive comments, is grilled cheese.
