SocialChorus, a marketing consulting firm, has offered to pay bloggers to promote Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE)

TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington posted on his blog on June 17th a note he received asking him to write about IE for a fee.

Microsoft representatives remained silent on the matter. A Microsoft spokesperson sent the following statement when asked about the SocialChorus invitation:

“This action by the vendor is not representative of how Microsoft works with bloggers or other social media members. The program has been suspended.”
