Facebook rejects claims of inadequate password security

380_0

According to a report by software company Dashlane, which criticizes its privacy policy, Facebook has rejected claims about insufficient password security.

The report checks the password policy of popular websites in the UK, noting the minimum password length, whether the password had to include numbers and letters and whether users are shown how strong the password is, among other factors.

Websites were rated out of 100%, with those ranked below 50% deemed to be below Dashlane's security standard, which found that 80% of websites did not meet security requirements, including Facebook.
