You know that many stores offer free Wi-Fi to their customers, just as you know that many of them use timers to limit access after a certain amount of time. But if you need more time than the allotted time, you can easily bypass the limits. All you need to do is change your computer's MAC address.
Basically, the process is quite simple, there are even several scripts that do this. But here we will use a simple application like MAC Makeup. (You can also download it from here if you can't find it on the official website) The application will change the MAC address of your computer and you will have constant access to Wi-Fi that gives limited time access. Even changing a single number will make a difference. You can try it yourself.
There are of course other, somewhat more insidious applications:
You can use an app to discover WiFi around you like Cain & Able, and NetStumbler which discovers the MAC of other computers using WiFi (paid or not). Once you discover MAC addresses you can copy the address to your own computer. This will give you free WiFi in hotels and other paid WiFi locations.
While we don't recommend stealing someone else's access, it's a good trick to have up your sleeve if you're in a pinch or just need to extend your deadline at your favorite coffee shop.
Be careful, we do not recommend it.
