Clonezilla Live, a Linux distribution based on DRBL, Partclone, and udpcast, allowing users to backup and restore, has now been released in version 2.2.3-17.
The Clonezilla team has released a new development version for the Linux distribution with just a small update to the Debian base and a few other changes.
"The underlying GNU/Linux operating system has been upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository, as of June 2, 2014," the official announcement states.
Clonezilla developers update the Linux kernel from time to time, but it seems we'll have to wait for this update. According to the changelog, cnvt – ocs – dev is now able to convert the SD device, and ocs-live-run-menu has been improved to now run the ocs_live_run variable.
Clonezilla Live is a Linux distribution that does just one thing: bare metal backup and recovery. It's similar to other well-known cloning software, like True Image or Norton Ghost.
A full list of changes, improvements, and fixes can be found in the official release announcement. You can download Clonezilla Live 2.2.3-17 here.
