A few months ago , Google upgraded the Android Hangouts application so that it can also accept and manage SMS messages on devices running its mobile operating system.
Now, Google, with the Hangouts 2.1, gives users the ability to see all their conversations with a contact consolidated in one window (SMS and chat, if they want, they can keep them separate) and the ability to add widgets to the home screen for easy access to recent conversations.
Also, the contact list has been simplified, so that it is clear and easy to see who is available for Hangouts and who remains just contacts from the phone book, while the quality of video calls.
