Apple announced today a change to its Mac beta policy, now allowing everyone to try new versions of OS X before everyone else.
By joining the OS X Beta Seed Program you will download an application that will give you access to beta material directly from the Mac App Store.
This feature was previously only available to paid developers. Keep in mind, of course, that a beta program is just that: beta. There will be bugs and other incompatibilities, so it's a good idea to think carefully before making any decisions.
