Last week, at Inetrop in Las Vegas, WatchGuard Technologies announced the launch of WatchGuard APT Blocker, a service designed to protect organizations from advanced persistent threats (APTs).
Watchguard APT Blocker is designed to provide real-time visibility and protection in minutes. By integrating with WatchGuard’s visibility tool, Dimension, customers have a single view of advanced threats and other useful trends.
Using a fully-fledged environment emulation system to detect zero-day malware and APTs, APT Blocker is designed to detect and submit suspicious files to a cloud-based sandbox.
Apts threats are usually associated with cyber espionage operations against governments, but this is not the norm, experts warn. Recent data breaches, such as those suffered by Adobe and Target, have proven that all companies are vulnerable, regardless of their size.
Additional information about WatchGuard APT Blocker is available on the company's website.
