On his page on Kickstarter, the creators (M3D LLC) describe it as the first 3D printer «truly for consumers», as it combines low cost (obtained from backers who provide $199 to the project) and easy handling.
«It is the most affordable 3D printer that can be used immediately. Ideal for beginners and experts: simply connect the printer, download or create models, press print and watch your creations materialize before your eyes» the page states.

The “key” is Micro Motion Technology: a sensor and interaction system integrated into the “head”, which provides self-adjustment capabilities to the device. At the same time, the software is designed to resemble a game and is fully compatible with touch screens.
As for its dimensions, it is a cube with an edge of 185 mm and a weight of one kilogram. It is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux and connects via USB. It supports various materials (ABS, PLA, nylon, etc.).
