European Cyber Army leaks 60,000 credentials from Syrian sites

eca-hacked

Over 60,000 account information has been leaked by a hacker belonging to the European Cyber Army (ECA), who uses the alias “Zer0Pwn”.

As it turns out, the compromised database data belongs to two Syrian websites: job.sy and realestate.sy.

The hacker shared a sample of the data at https://pastebin.com/7Y13ULux, titled “ECA vs. Assad,” which also contains a link to the entire database.

While the exposed job.sy passwords are encrypted, the passwords from realestate.sy are in plain text.

Lee J from Cyber War News analyzed the entire database and reports that the information from realestate.sy contains over 4000 unique logins, while the job.sy database contains over 50,000 logins.

Some other members from the ECA have carried out a cyberattack on syrianmonster.com, compromising the administrator's login details.
