Vodafone Germany unveils SIM card based on end-to-end encryption

Vodafone Germany rolls out SIM Card-based end-to-end Encryption

Since the mobile phone has become a basic necessity for every person, every company is working to find more effective ways to protect users' sensitive data, and in this race, Vodafone seems to be "leading the game."

In collaboration with security company Giesecke & Devrient (G&D), a global leader in mobile security solutions, Vodafone offers end-to-end encryption for mobile communication depending on the phone's SIM card.

Sensitive data, such as emails, documents, data carriers and VPN connections should be encrypted by the SIM card in such a way that it is impossible for unauthorized users to read them, ensuring security and protection of users' privacy.

Users will be able to encrypt the SIM card, with the simple use of a PIN and a digital signature, and the same is required to decrypt the communication.
