A few weeks ago, Microsoft replaced SkyDrive with OneDrive, while also giving users the option to get 3GB of additional storageby enabling the automatic backup feature for their camera.
However, many users were unable to receive the extra GB due to a bug affecting OneDrive globally.
Redmond managed to identify the cause of the problem, successfully fixing it.
“Due to an error on our part, it took a little longer than expected for some of you to see the extra 3GB in your OneDrive account . We apologize for any inconvenience this error may have caused. We’ve been working hard to make sure that if you’ve enabled the backup service for your camera, you’ve now received the extra 3GB,” the company said.
OneDrive offers every user 7GB of free storage, so the extra GB is very useful, especially for users who plan to store all their photos in the cloud.
