The unveiling of Samsung's Galaxy S5 is being teased on a website run by its German subsidiary O2, where customers can enter their email address to "learn about the new Samsung that can do more." Along with a pun on the number 5, the site also features the tagline "discover more at the end of February" and a photo of a smartphone in water, wrapped in bubbles.

Although the image suggests that the Korean company's new model will be waterproof, it is likely that this is simply a trick to show off the device, without revealing its design or any other feature.

Moreover, the O2 website confirms that Samsung's new "flagship" will indeed be presented in Barcelona on February 24, at the event scheduled as part of the Mobile World Congress exhibition.

At the same time, new information from technology site SamMobile comes to rule out the possibility that the Galaxy S5 will incorporate iris recognition technology, a feature that Samsung executives had stated weeks ago that was being considered.

On the contrary, according to SamMobile, the smartphone will incorporate a fingerprint recognition sensor which, although it will be integrated in the same place as the iPhone 5S, will work in a different way than in Apple's latest model.

The site also states that, in addition to the device, the user will be able to use the sensor to "unlock" several other functions of the phone.
