New Firefox users , instead of the empty spaces of the sites they visit the most in every tab they open, will see ads, since Mozilla wants to increase their revenue.
“Sponsored tiles” are the company's attempt, which has repeatedly been voted by users among the most trusted worldwide, to remain independent, having an additional source of revenue.
The main source of revenue for Firefox for years has been the agreement with Google to place its search engine as a default option in the popular browser.
The advertising tiles not appear to those who already use Firefox, but only to new users, whose specific areas would otherwise be empty.
Mozilla is very careful in selecting advertisers, while in these positions there will also be some partners with whom it has close ties.
