Google was fined $210 million by the Korea Communications Commission for illegally collecting data through its Street View service.
According to the newspaper The Korea Herald, the issue concerns an older case involving the interception of data from Street View, which had arisen several years ago.

The Korean regulator asked Google to delete all personal data collected without consent, and the company complied. Google has repeatedly stated that the project never sought this data and that it was not intentionally collected.
The equipment that led to the collection of personal data has been removed from Google Street View cars .
