According to a recent interview given by Microsoft, Greg Sullivan, all devices currently running Windows Phone 8 will be able to upgrade to Windows Phone 8.1, after the official release of the long-awaited operating system.
This practically means that all Windows Phone 8 devices currently available on the market will be able to upgrade to the new updated version of the software.
Microsoft has not yet announced the exact release date for Windows Phone 8.1, but it has confirmed that the Nokia Lumia 1020 and Lumia 520 devices will definitely receive the update.
However, the news is unpleasant for users with Windows Phone 7.5 devices, who will not be able to upgrade to the long-awaited Windows Phone 8.1.
