Yahoo has acquired the startup company Evntlive, a company that has developed an interactive platform for covering concerts and major events through live streaming.
Evntlive confirmed the acquisition through an official announcement on its website, stating the discontinuation of its services and the integration of its team into the Yahoo Video service.
“When we launched EVNTLIVE in early 2012, we set out to change the way fans engage with live music online by creating an interactive and virtual hub. Since launching our services in April 2013, we have live-streamed hundreds of performances from amazing artists and festivals to fans around the world,” the company said in a statement. “While our service will no longer be available, we are excited to have our team join Yahoo’s video service.”.
The financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed so far.
