The new widget replaces the circular steps widget and essentially displays the focus section that appears at the top of the “Today” tab, displaying the stats the user has selected.

The largest layout on the home screen is 5x3 and can display up to six metrics. There is also the option to remove the step ring or weekly cardio activity for a more compact look. Tapping the widget takes the user to the detailed stats page, while they can also minimize it to display just one metric.

The heart in the top left opens the app, while on the right are shortcuts for Health Coach and data refresh. The center also displays the time of the last update.

The update also introduces the new Google Health icon and removes Fitbit branding from the app, which will now only be used for hardware devices.
