Brand.com is launching a program that will clean search engines of unfounded rumors about us!
The well-known firm that manages our online reputation claims to have developed an application that will scour the online world to find lies and rumors concerning its customers and then free them from the unfounded accusations by erasing every trace!
Brand.com will have to reveal the technology behind its big promise at some point, but the company's president, Michael Zammuto, recently said that its "patented De-Indexing Action Plan is the first major step towards permanently removing misleading content from the Google, Yahoo and Bing search algorithms.".
The online reputation management market is now particularly flourishing, as its task is to "clean up" the digital profile of individuals or companies.
How do they do it? They "bury" negative search results by flooding the Internet with positive information for the customer and improve the content of searches in the search engine.
So, for someone to promise to be able to permanently remove unflattering information about someone is a particularly ambitious plan, which - if it works - will undoubtedly bring ups and downs to the market!
So if your ex is bombarding the online world with false allegations about you and your sexuality(!), Brand.com promises to free you from libel by cleaning Google's search engine from content that damages your public image!
Let's wait and see if the program actually works..
