Violet Blue is a columnist for ZDNet. Her latest article on the authoritative website recounts her ordeal with an Apple MacBook battery. Apple has been receiving complaints from its customers about defective MacBook batteries for ten years .
Violet Blue is a dissatisfied customer of the company and says: “I noticed that my MacBook Pro was not sitting well on the shelf. I took a closer look and saw that the battery had exploded, and it had swollen. It was hot to the touch.” Searching the internet, she noticed that there were a lot of unhappy customers with batteries that had exploded.
When she contacted Apple’s support department, she heard the following paradox: “Exploding” the battery is something to be expected.
Apple states that a battery that costs $ 129 in the United States (because it costs more here) has a lifespan of one year and that every MacBook is supposed to “wear” a new one every year.
Apple’s apathy towards this particular problem seems to have no limits.
In her article, Violet Bluementions many cases of batteries exploding and the company's response has always been the same. We should believe that a battery exploding in a MacBook is something completely normal.
Could Apple perhaps explain to me why my old HP has been working for 3 years with the same battery?
