The number of Internet users is growing every day, but many users still don't know how to protect themselves from online threats. An infographic published by Kaspersky presents some interesting facts about identity theft and ways to protect yourself from such crimes.

According to the company, 91% of users do online banking, 87% use social networks, 65% store personal photos and videos on their mobile, while 25% even store passwords to personal accounts.

All of this information could be extremely valuable to cybercriminals. Your relatives’ phone numbers and personal information can be used for scams, financial information can be used to steal money, and social security and ID numbers can be leveraged to spread fraud.

If cybercriminals compromise your devices, they can use your personal videos and photos for blackmail. Plus, too much location information can help thieves locate your home.

Check out the infographic to learn more details and ways to protect yourself from online threats.
