Trustwave recently acquired Application Security Inc, a data security solutions provider based in New York.
Trustwave aims to leverage the automated database scanning technology developed by Application Security to enhance its own security services .
Its Application Security products, DbProtect and AppDetectivePRO, will continue to be developed and supported by Trustwave.
Application Security has worked with government organizations and businesses to ensure the effective protection of their databases by providing services to identify vulnerabilities and configuration issues that could lead to data breaches and DOS attacks.
The financial terms of the agreement have not yet been disclosed.
