Students from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have developed an innovative bracelet that helps its wearer either stay warm or cold, depending on environmental conditions.
The bracelet, called Wristify, works by sending hot or cold pulses to the wrist.
According to Oil Price, the pulses are more than enough to cause changes in the temperature of the entire body, therefore, this fact means that people can feel comfortable in both summer and winter, without the use of air conditioning or a heating system.
It goes without saying that this translates into significantly less energy consumption, and Mother Nature couldn't be happier.
The bracelet participated in the MADMEC competition organized by people at MIT every year, and managed to win first prize.
The students who built it promise to continue improving the prototype's performance and hope that, at some point in the future, they will be able to launch a commercial model.
