12-year-old admits to hacking government websites for Anonymous

A 12-year-old boy from Montreal, Canada has pleaded guilty to hacking government websites in the name of Anonymous.

The Toronto Sun report states that the boy's motives were not political, but rather he handed over information to Anonymousin exchange for video games.

The websites he hacked include the Montreal police, the Chilean government, the Quebec Institute of Public Health, and several other non-governmental sites. Police estimate the total cost of the damage at $60,000, with a more detailed report to be presented in court when the boy goes on trial next month.
