Facebook is changing its privacy policy for its teenage users starting today, and more specifically, who can see the messages they upload to their account.Until now, Facebook allowed teenagers aged 13 to 17 to post updates on their "wall" with the understanding that they would only appear to their friends and, in some cases, to their friends' friends.
With the new data, teenagers now have the same rights as other Facebook users, choosing who can see the messages or photos they upload to the site. In addition, teenagers will be able to activate the Follow option so that public messages they publish appear in users' News Feeds.
In order to avoid misunderstandings, Facebook displays a relevant information message when the teenager chooses to make their messages public, stating that they will be visible to everyone and that they can change this setting at any time.
