According to new information, Google is planning to launch a new service with which it will reward mobile device owners who allow it to closely monitor their activity and the use of the various applications they make.
The new project is called Mobile Meter and is intended for monitoring iOS and Android devices. What it will do is record the mobile habits of users and send the data back to Google. The good news is that the service will be optional and the user will have to opt in if they want to participate and not opt out if they want to be excluded as is usually the case.
Finally, all data will be anonymous and can in no way - according to Google - be linked to individual users. However, what we don't know is the type and size of the reward it will offer and whether and to what extent it will be worth the price of monitoring.
