The general rule for penetration testers, or “hackers,” who conduct audits through unauthorized access to computers is to have the necessary permission. Rob McAdam, CEO of security solutions company PureHacking, says: “We can hack when we have permission to do so.”
McAdam says that in the past, they have been asked by various companies to carry out hacking attacks in retaliation, but the company has refused. White Hat hackers have helped many of their clients mitigate vulnerabilities in their systems.
