Apple has released the third beta of its upcoming iOS 26.2 update to developers , bringing new features and improvements . Here's a look at all the changes Apple is bringing with iOS 26.2 beta 3 .

AirDrop

Apple has added new functionality to AirDrop, allowing two people to share files temporarily without having to add each other as a contact.

iOS 26.2 includes an option to create a one-time AirDrop code, which can then be shared with someone who isn't in your contact list. The code allows file exchanges via AirDrop for a period of 30 days.

You can manage the people you have shared a one-time code with by opening the Settings, selecting the General, selecting AirDrop , and tapping “Manage Known AirDrop Contacts.”

According to Apple's developer notes, Hypertension Alerts are now available for reading with a new API. Apps can request permission to read notifications that are triggered by the Hypertension Alerts feature on Apple Watch.

This suggests that a third-party app can read data from the Health app so that your medical app can be notified if you receive a high blood pressure alert.

Privacy

When you access Apple Account for the first time after installing iOS 26.2, you will see a notification informing you that Apple's privacy information for Apple Accounts has been updated to is collected and used personal information by Apple.

Side Button

Apple is paving the way for a new option that will allow iPhone users in Japan to choose a different default voice assistant. A press-and-hold gesture on the Side Button only activates Siri in the current version of iOS 26, but there are many reports of the button's new behavior in the new beta.

The wording suggests that Japanese users will be able to select a new app to activate with the Side Button, potentially allowing alternative assistants like Gemini or Alexa to be used on the iPhone.

Liquid Glass Settings

When using the new Liquid Glass “Tinted” that reduces transparency, there is a warning that the Tinted option cannot be used at the same time as the Reduce Transparency and Increase Contrast Accessibility settings.

Enabling Tinted mode may automatically disable Reduce Transparency and Increase Contrast. In previous betas, there was no option to enable Tinted mode without manually disabling these features.

iOS 26.2 beta 3: Games App

There's a new splash screen that confirms features coming to the Games app in iOS 26.2, including options for filtering your game library, better support for navigating the Games app with a controller, and real-time updates to challenge scores during gameplay.

Alarms in Reminders

There's now a little reminder about the option to mark a reminder as urgent to receive an "alarm," a feature that's new in iOS 26.2. The reminder appears when you first add a new entry to a list.

There is also a splash screen that informs users about the new feature.
