Google Pay added Klarna to itsBuy Now, Pay Later(BNPL) service in the United States, offering Android users more flexibility for larger purchases. The integration is now live and brings Klarna’s “Pay in 4” payment options and financing plans to select Android apps and websites that support Google Pay payments.

The new partnership allows users to split eligible purchases over $35 into four interest-free installments or opt for longer-term financing for more expensive items. Klarna’s financing terms start at 0% annual percentage rate (APR), depending on the credit profile and the merchant.
To get started, existing Klarna users need to link their accounts to Google Pay, while new users can sign up directly through the Google Pay app. Once connected, consumers can select Klarna as their BNPL provider at checkout and manage transactions through Google Wallet.

This move completes the Google Pay ecosystem, which already includes Affirm, Zip and Afterpay, and comes at a time when Klarna is expanding beyond simple payment services.

Just days before this integration went live, Klarna made headlines for its entry into the US mobile, introducing a new 5G plan with unlimited data for $40 per month. The mobile service is based on AT&T and promises easy and fast activation, no activation or cancellation fees, and supports eSIM. All service management is done exclusively through the Klarna app.
