Once Oppo resolved its patent disputes with Nokia, it's back on the world stage, releasing one amazing phone after another, as if making up for lost time.
Oppo will reportedly release the world's thinnest foldable phone - the Find N5 - next month, but it will apparently be accompanied by a wearable assistant, the Watch 2, which will include blood pressure monitoring.

It's not yet clear whether the Oppo Watch 2 will measure blood pressure with an inflatable wristband like Huawei 's smartwatches , or whether it will measure the value with a regular cuff first and then let its algorithms extrapolate similar to what Samsung watches do .
In any case, after revealing that the Find N5 will be no thicker than four credit cards, Oppo's product manager showed off an image of the alleged Watch 2 and hinted that it will bring blood pressure monitoring to a company smartwatch for the first time. OnePlus, the sister brand, already has a watch that monitors blood pressure, so Oppo may have been drawing on that engineering know-how.

Oppo's argument is that high blood pressure is the number one risk factor for premature death from heart disease or stroke globally. Oppo's product manager said they already received a warning from the Watch 2 indicating that they should take care of their blood pressure with routines like diet and exercise, so it remains to be seen what the company has in store when it announces the new Watch 2 and N5 devices next month.
