Sony is introducing a major new feature to PlayStation Portal: cloud streaming.
Initially, the device could only stream games from the PS5 over Wi-Fi. However, with a new system update rolling out later today, you'll be able to stream select PS5 games from the Game to your PlayStation Portal.

The new feature will be available in beta and requires a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription. According to Sony, streaming at 720p requires a connection of at least 7 Mbps, while 1080p quality requires a connection of 13 Mbps.
Some PlayStation Plus features will not be supported for cloud streaming on PlayStation Portal at first, such as Game Trials, voice chat with friends, game invites for select games, 3D audio, and “in-game trading.” You also won’t be able to stream PS4 or PS3 games, and affiliate accounts won’t have access to cloud streaming on Portal.
The beta version will be available in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Cyprus, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States.

Sony released cloud streaming for the PS5 consoles last year. As part of the new PlayStation Portal update , there are also changes to the audio, such as a lower minimum volume and the ability to adjust the settings of a PlayStation Link device from your Portal
