For months, rumors have been circulating about the release date of Sony, the PlayStation Portal.
Now Sony has given us the answer: PlayStation Portal will be released on November 15. The portable device, which will be able to stream PlayStation 5 games over Wi-Fi, will be available for $199.99 (about €184).

There's a chance that PlayStation Portal will sell out as quickly as the PlayStation 5 did when it first launched, which is probably why Sony is currently limiting orders to one device per customer. If you want to secure a device now, rest assured that Sony is already accepting pre-orders in the US and several other countries.
The PlayStation Portal is a handheld device that can connect wirelessly to your PS5 via Wi-Fi. This allows you to stream pre-installed PS5 games to the Portal's LCD screen, which measures 8 inches, has a resolution of up to 1080p, and has a refresh rate of 60 fps. The device also has controllers on both sides, reminiscent of Sony's DualSense Wireless Controller for the PS5.

Unfortunately, the Portal doesn't support Bluetooth, which means it won't be able to connect to your regular wireless headphones. However, it does support Sony's exclusive PlayStation Link wireless technology, allowing you to connect it to the upcoming Pulse Explore headset and Pulse Elite headset. There's also a 3.5mm headphone jack, in case you prefer a wired headset or a pair of wired headphones.

For now, you can only pre-order PlayStation Portal through Sony's official PlayStation Direct online store ahead of its release on November 15. According to a post on the blog , other retailers will allow customers to pre-order starting September 29, so stay tuned as we'll update this article when we learn more.
It's also worth noting that only residents of select regions – including the US, UK, France and Belgium – are currently able to pre-order PlayStation Portal. However, customers in other regions, including Canada and Japan, will be able to pre-order it from September 29th.
