Spotify users are reporting that the music streaming service has been down for the past hour. The Spotify team is currently investigating the cause of the problem.

Music searches, pages, and account registrations are not working
The major music streaming platform, Spotify, admits today that its users around the world are experiencing problems.
While searching for music, a screen appeared on our Desktop (Mac) app with the message “no results”.
BleepingComputer also noticed that the user interface constantly tries to display albums without success.
"We are receiving reports of issues with multiple Spotify services," a Spotify community moderator posted about two hours ago today (07:59 AM Eastern).
“Account pages not working, issues signing up for Premium, issues with Spotify-related websites.”
The same problems appeared on Spotify's mobile apps and website:
Something went wrong, the website finally reports after a few minutes of rendering effort.

As Spotify continues to investigate the issue, DownDetector has collected around 900 reports so far from affected users.

However, users can play songs that have been stored on their devices or have been “downloaded” for offline playback (i.e. by Premium subscribers).
