According to the updates made on Lenovo's Legion GO website, we can see that Lenovo is developing a more affordable version of the Lenovo Go "Lite" portable Go-To PC.
The Lenovo Legion GO is a powerful gaming laptop, but its spacious 144Hz QHD display comes at a steep price. A price that may not excite many when considering more affordable options like the Asus ROG Ally Z1 or the Steam Deck OLED. However, a recent FAQ update on Lenovo's website suggests that at least one alternative is being added to the Legion GO lineup.
Initially, the Legion GO is a portable Windows PC device that was released on October 31, 2023, with a similar design to the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch and is designed for Gamers. The Legion GO consists of an integrated AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme Series processor with AMD RNDA Graphics, which is similar to the GTX 1650ti or close to the performance of the GTX 1060, and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM.
The Legion GO is capable of running many AAA PC games in Nintendo Switch format. With a 49.2Wh battery, which lasts 1-3 hours when not on charge.
It features an 8.8-inch display, with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 (QHD) with a brightness of 500 nits, as well as a refresh rate of 60Hz to 144Hz. One of the main features of the Lenovo Go is its detachable controllers (Legion TrueStrike controllers).
The Lenovo Go weighs 200 grams more than the Asus ROG Ally. So, with the “Lite” moniker, we can assume that the Lenovo Go Lite will be smaller and lighter than the current model. Also, incorporating many improvements such as more RAM, larger battery capacity, and improved cooling.
According to website , we can expect to see a number of potential downgraded features when the new model launches. Such as non-detachable controls, a lower-performance AMD Ryzen Z1 processor, unlike the Ryzen Z1 Extreme found in the Legion Go. And a smaller 7- or 8-inch display instead of the 8.8-inch one. The Legion Go Lite also offers a new HDMI port and two fans, which are not found in the Legion Go.
Nothing is certain though, it won't be long before Lenovo announces more information about the Legion Go "Lite".
