Pagani reveals the new Pagani Utopia Roadster, which retains the V12 engine and 7-speed gearbox and loses its roof.

Following the launch of the Pagani Utopia Coupe, Pagani reveals the Topia Roadster ahead of its Monterey Car Week debut.

According to Pagani, the Utopia Roadster was designed with the Roadster version in mind, which made it easier for engineers to maintain its performance without a roof. And it improves the car’s cohesive aesthetics. The Utopia Roadster comes standard with a removable “hard” hood that can be placed on a stand and kept in a climate-controlled garage or living room. And a removable “soft” hood that can be folded and stored in a bag located behind the seats.

Pagani Utopia Roadster: What are its features?

Like the Pagani Coupe, the Utopia Roadster features a 6,000 RPM Mercedes-AMG Twin-Turbocharged V12 6-liter engine. It is rated at 864 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque (lbf – ft). That’s 108 more horsepower than the Huayra Roadster. The 12 cylinders drive the rear wheels through a seven-speed Xtrac. Alternatively, there’s an automatic transmission that can be controlled using the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. And its top speed will be 349 KPH (217 MPH), with a curb weight of 1,280KG.

The steering wheel of the new Pagani Utopia Roadstercan be considered a work of art. It is made of a single piece of lightweight metal weighing 43 kilograms. And it takes five-axis milling machines 28 hours of continuous work to complete. As a result, the steering wheel weighs 1.6 kilograms.

The Pagani Utopia Roadster will use Pirelli P Zero Corsa, Winter or Trofeo RS tires, which are connected to the Pirelli Cyber ​​Tyre collecting information about the stability control and traction control systems.

The Pagani Utopia Roadster will make its debut at Monterey Car Week between August 9 and 18, equipped with the Sports Pack. Pagani will only produce 130 units. Priced at 3.1 million euros.
