Kia’s U.S. electric vehicle (EV) sales doubled in the first half of the year, setting a new record for the Korean automaker . Having sold more than 5,000 electric vehicles for the third consecutive month , Kia looks set to continue its strong performance in the second half of 2024.
Kia releases affordable long -range, such as the EV9 and EV6, which have attracted many buyers in the US.
In May, the company recorded record sales , and in total the company sold 29,392 electric cars in the first half of 2024.

In June, it managed to sell more than 5,000 EVs, with 1,905 of them being EV9s and 2,171 EV6s.
Deliveries of the EV9 SUV in the US began last December, and sales reached 9,671 in the first half of 2024. Kia began production of the EV9 in Georgia in May, making it the first EV built in the state.
With a starting price of under $55,000, Kia calls the EV9 a “wake-up call” to the industry. With a $7,500 federal tax credit, the price drops to $48,995. The long-range EV9 provides up to 320 miles of range and starts at $60,695.

Equally popular in the US is the EV6, with Kia selling 10,941 cars this year. Kia’s EV6 is one of the most affordable and cost-effective EVs in the US. The 2024 Kia EV6 starts at $42,600. For the Light Long Range RWD EV6 with a range of up to 310 miles, the price starts at $45,950.
