Experience NASA's Boeing Crew Flight Test mission up close

Digital content creators are invited to register to watch the launch of the NASA Boeing Crew Flight Test (CFT) mission to the International Space Station . The mission will be the first crewed launch of Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft as part of NASA’s Commercial Spaceflight Program

Starliner will launch aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket, with NASA astronauts Barry “Butch” Wilmore and Suni Williams traveling to the space lab for a stay of about one to two weeks. Liftoff is scheduled for mid-April 2024 from Space Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

If your passion is communicating and engaging with the world online ,then this is the event for you! You may have the opportunity to see and share the launch of NASA's Crew Flight Test mission.

Up to 50 social media users will be selected to attend this two-day event and will have access similar to that of the media.

NASA Social participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Watch the crew launch of the United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket and Starliner spacecraft.
  • Tour NASA facilities at Kennedy Space Center.
  • Meet and interact with experts in CFT topics.
  • Meet other space enthusiasts who are active on social media.

Registration on NASA Social for the Crew Flight Test launch opens on Wednesday, February 21 , and the application deadline is Tuesday , February 27 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. All applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis .

This event is designed for people who:

  • They actively use multiple platforms and tools to disseminate information to a unique audience.
  • They regularly produce new content that features multimedia elements.
  • They have the ability to reach a large number of people using digital platforms or to reach a unique audience, separate and different from traditional media and/or NASA audiences.
  • They must have an established history of publishing content on social media platforms.
  • They have previous posts that are highly visible, respected, and widely recognized.

The users who wish to participate in monitoring the mission Crew Flight Test NASA, are encouraged to use hashtags #NASASocial and #Starliner on all social networks. Updates and information about the event will be shared via X through the accounts @NASASocial and @NASAKennedy, as well as through posts on Facebook and Instagram.
