Lego's epic limited edition Parisian Street and Mountain Fortress sets are ready to go on sale.
The first Lego sets designed in a competition in which anyone could participate.

If you consider yourself a dedicated adult Lego fan, you might want to be on top of those buy buttons this Wednesday, February 7.That's when Lego will start selling five limited-edition sets that are literally a fan's dream come true: fans entered a BrickLink Designer Program to create these Lego sets themselves, and they'll get 5% of the proceeds!
They're also really cool builds. Definitely the $380 Mountain Fortress that looks like a great counterpart to the Lion Knight's Castle, the $50 Snack Shack that reminds me of a Hawaiian ranch, and the $320 Lego Parisian Street set with its timeless Haussmann architecture and charming shops.

Lego believes the sets will ship in July 2024, but "actual dates and shipping times may vary."
These aren't the first fan-designed Lego sets to go on sale, of course, but there are some significant differences this time around. While fan ideas have previously been either adapted by the Lego company or funded by previous Lego Ideas submissions, the Lego BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 is the first time anyone can design a Lego set that Lego will simply produce.
Lego will also be making more of these fan-designed sets than ever before. While previous fan creations were limited to 10,000 copies or fewer, and Lego initially announced that it would make up to 20,000 of these packs, the company is now saying that the limit is 30,000. This means that these sets may not be as valuable to collectors as previous packs, most of which have already doubled in value, but hopefully that means fewer importers!
This also means that the fan designers of the larger sets could earn rates of around $500k. Imagine that.
