With the timely 'wipe', a new chapter in Escape From Tarkov emerges. Head to Ground Zero, where the action is unleashed!

Game developer Battlestate Games has confirmed that the next wipe in Escape From Tarkov is set to take place tomorrow, December 27th, at 7am GMT / 2am EST.
The new wipe will begin installing at the same time and is expected to take six hours, with an estimated start time of 8 a.m. EST. However, it is possible that it will take longer, so don't expect to be ready to play right then. You will not be able to play Tarkov while the patch is being applied.

The wipe will coincide with the release of patch 0.14, which includes a new map called Ground Zero, a new boss called Kollontay that is described as very impressive, and a revamp of the recoil system. The community is eagerly awaiting the new wipe, with the new recoil system expected to have a significant impact on all players. However, we will have to wait until tomorrow to see how big of a change it will be.
We'll likely get the full patch notes for update tomorrow morning, when the update hits the servers. So there may be some unexpected additions to Tarkov. We already know about new weapons and a possible update to Shoreline, while the BTR is being added to the streets of Tarkov. As is often the case, there may be other big surprises.
The new map, Ground Zero, is also expected to be limited to low-level players, making it a great place to start your journey in Tarkov. Usually, this is a great time to start the game, as everyone is resetting to zero. So if you've been thinking about trying it out, now's a good time, especially with the current holiday sale.

After announcing the date for tomorrow on Twitter, the BSG team also confirmed that this wipe will not affect Escape From Tarkov Arena, and there will be no wipe for the new game. Considering it was only released last week, it seemed odd that they would restore progress so soon.
In the lead-up to the wipe, there were several new events, including an entirely new questline that proved divisive, as it provided a status effect that affected your screen until the questline was completed. However, with the reset now confirmed for tomorrow, these events will be completed and the community believes that the controversial questline will be removed.
