International Criminal Court: It fell victim to a cyberattack

The International Criminal Court (ICC) revealed yesterday that it had fallen victim to a cyberattack, after some of its systems were breached last week.

“Late last week, the services of the International Criminal Court detected abnormal activity affecting systems information,” said .

“Immediate measures were adopted to address this cybersecurity incident and mitigate its impact“.

The Court confirmed that it is investigating the incident in cooperation with the Dutch authorities, as the Netherlands serves as the host country for the ICC.

The International Criminal Court also said it has taken steps to strengthen defenses cyber , including accelerating the adoption of cloud technology .

At this time, there is no information on the exact nature and impact of the cyberattack. We also do not know if the perpetrators were able to gain access to any data or files.
