Cocoon, the highly anticipated world-hopping game from Geometric Interactive and the lead gameplay designer behind Limbo and Inside, will officially launch on Xbox Series X/S (Game Pass!), Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam on September 29, 2023.

Cocoon's release date was revealed alongside a brand new gameplay trailer at the Annapurna Interactive Showcase , and we got another glimpse of the puzzler that lets you not only jump in and out of worlds, but actually use those worlds to solve puzzles.
Each world turns into an orb when you jump from it, and you can take it with you to solve puzzles, as well as unlock its unique ability that will help you complete your mission and make you stronger. You can also use the world-hopping mechanism to escape danger, as we've seen the player character jump out of the world to avoid a deadly moving obstacle and then jump back in once it's passed its previous location.

Cocoon doesn't just have puzzles, as there are also big boss and battles that will force you to be on your toes and use the abilities you've previously unlocked from the worlds you've explored.
In IGN's hands-on preview of Cocoon, they said: "Every time I thought I knew the game would zig, it zagged to places I could never have dreamed of. This is a beautiful game - not just in its art and music, but in how it asks you to let go of expectations and enjoy the sense of discovery. I'm excited to find out what's next - and all the orbs I'll be exploring in the future.".
